Ethereal Darkness reveals a lost city

Ethereal Darkness Interactive, the independent creator of the adventure/RPG Morning's Wrath (PC, 2005), has announced a brand new adventure game called The Lost City of Malathedra, coming to the PC in 2007.

The player assumes the role of Rebecca Wolfe, a 26 year-old historian. After the mysterious disappearance of her father who was researching the mysterious city Malathedra, Rebecca goes on a journey around the globe into the unknown depths of Malathedra, which is rumoured to hold the secret of everlasting life.

EDI are using a new engine called S3Engine in order to improve the visual and gameplay experience while trying to recreate the comedic feel of LucasArts style adventures such as Monkey Island.

Gameplay videos, screenshots, and more on The Lost City of Malathedra can be found at its official homepage.

EDI's previous title, Morning's Wrath, is an adventure/RPG hybrid combining puzzles with spells and battles.
