Good things come in threes for Delaware St. John

Big Time Games has revealed the first details of the next instalment of its Delaware St. John series, and there are a few radical changes in store. Unlike the previous episodes in the supernatural mystery series, The Seacliff Tragedy is not only going to be "Volume 3", but 3D, as well.

Taking a bold step from the point and click, slideshow-style presentation of its predecessors, The Seacliff Tragedy will be rendered in real-time 3D, with complete freedom of movement using a keyboard/mouse combination. Not only that, but the new game will be presented in a third-person perspective, switching to first-person only at specific times in what the developer calls the "confrontation view", as seen in the first screenshots released for the game.

Despite the change in presentation, the new game will continue to offer the same type of gameplay as the earlier titles. Once again, paranormal investigator Delaware St. John and his partner Kelly Bradford will be drawn to the site of a recent tragedy. This time around, it's the Seacliff Amusement Park, where hundreds of people lost their lives in an accident several years earlier. With Delaware's psychic abilities and Kelly's technological gadgets, the two must not only find out what really happened at the park, but fend off demons known as "Shadow People".

The changes will extend the development time of the new episode, as The Seacliff Tragedy is now on schedule for an early November release.
