The World of Darkness universes have been tabletop role-playing staples for decades, and have occasionally even made the successful leap to PC, such as in the acclaimed Vampire: The Masquerade series. The next video game adaptation, and the first for virtual reality, will be Fast Travel Games' upcoming Wraith: The Oblivion – Afterlife.

Did the lost island of Atlantis every really exist? And if so, what actually happened to it? The answers to these questions, at least according to the upcoming VR adventure Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis, is a resounding "yes" and "you'll soon find out!"

Hard as it is to believe, it's been over a decade since Sam & Max last (dis)graced our gaming screens, but everyone's favourite suit-wearing canine and hyperkinetic rabbity thing are back! Or will be soon enough, as indie developer Happy Giant has announced the VR-exclusive action-adventure Sam & Max: This Time It's Virtual!

In 2018, Charm Games took players to a unique fantasy world somewhere between the real one and the afterlife. Next the indie Canadian developer is going back to the well but in a much darker and different location in the upcoming Trial by Teng – A Twilight Path Adventure.

Twin Peaks has always displayed a rather tenuous grip on reality, and now, nearly 30 years after its television debut, the popular David Lynch/Mark Frost franchise is ready to present gamers an equally tenuous grip on virtual reality with the release of Twin Peaks VR.

Archeology may be a largely academic pursuit in real life, but the exploits of tomb raiding spelunkers and obtainers of rare antiquities have been jazzed up with a little more excitement in popular entertainment.
