Over at the Unofficial Tex Murphy fan site, Tex Murphy co-creator Aaron Conners has posted a progress report on his efforts to restart the series. Currently employed at Microsoft Games Studios, Aaron Conners is working together with Chris Jones on a prototype that they hope will convince publishers to fund a fully-fledged sequel to Tex Murphy: Overseer. Here's what Aaron had to say about the current state of development:

GameSpot has posted their annual Best and Worst of 2003 feature, naming Silent Hill 3 as the best adventure game of the year. The other nominees were Broken Sword 3, Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, Syberia and Uru.
Gameboomers has recently interviewed Benoit Sokal on his upcoming sequel Syberia 2, focusing on such key narrative aspects as the further developing storyline, Kate Walker's progress in her spiritual quest, and some of the new characters she meets on her adventures. LucasArts is currently running a customer survey relating to adventure games (Sam & Max in particular). The survey asks LucasArts fans for their particular taste in humor, which aspects of adventure games they feel are important (dialog, sound, story, puzzles) and how familiar they are with the Sam & Max franchise. There's even a question about which adventure games people have played, which lists anything from The Crystal Key to Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon as options.
Ubi Soft has announced a sequel to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (based on the TV show of the same name) titled Dark Motives. The player will be able to tackle five brand-new cases in a first-person perspective, similar to the first game. Look for Dark Motives in March of 2004.
