Red Johnson, a private eye in Metropolis City, must investigate a crime that could have been committed by almost anyone. In his quest to solve the murder of a man who turns out to be one of the most hated people in town, Red finds no shortage of suspects, but he must gather clues, solve puzzles and interrogate witnesses to find the murderer and obtain a confession.

Crime has been spreading through the city like a plague. Police are either swamped or corrupted and honest citizens have no choice but to hire private eyes to solve open cases. With Red Johnson's talent and many tools, he's determined to win the war against crime, even if he has to confront the highest official authorities to do it.
