What a great interview! Thanks Ingmar, for doing this.
Thanks to the interview and a bit of luck I bought The Manhole Masterpiece Edition from GOG yesterday. I haven’t really tried it yet beyond walking around in it a bit, and it shows a lot of things we encountered in the Myst games. And now I want to play Riven again

I like the Myst games a lot. The only problem with the story that me and many other people have is the Bahro. They were suddenly introduced and the way I saw them they didn’t fit at all in the carefully constructed world we already knew.

It is indeed very interesting to have a closer look at The Manhole in retrospect. However, your idea concerning Riven doesen’t sound bad either.
