I just finished this and loved the humour, characterisation and voice acting. I’ve actually found muself missing the characters in it a bit now. I’m quite disapointed that no sequel looks to be planned. 

Is there anything similar out there or is it a bit unique?

I can’t think of a whole lot like it, personally. It’s been a while since I’ve played it but Ben There, Dan That (and its sequel) has a vaguely similar style of British humor without quite as much toilet humor as Hector. No voice acting, of course.

You might also want to look into Wailing Heights. I haven’t played it, but it features the same storywriter as Hector.

I have it, is there anyway to make Ben There, Dan That fullscreen? Added Wailing Heights to the wishlist. Flight of the Amazon Queen made me chuckle to.
