Stacking! It actually took me a bit of time to warm up to the game. It was only in the second level, the boat, that I really got how the gameplay “worked”, how you were supposed to approach it. And that’s when I really started loving the game.
Recently finished: Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse (R) (4/5) | Detective Di (3.5/5) | Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations (R) (4.5/5) | Heaven’s Vault (3/5) | Ace Attorney: Justice For All (R) (3.5/5) | Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (R) (4.5/5) | Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space (R) (4.5/5) | The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker (abandoned) (2/5) | Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (3.5/5) | The Sexy Brutale (R) (4/5)
I really liked Stacking (and The lost Hobo King). I loved the smart and unique gameplay, the characters, the music, the “old movie” voiceless presentation and the world in general. I found myself playing just to find and use all the special moves from every doll available!!
What is also important, is that it takes some very serious subjects (child labor, industrialism) and presents it with its own unique way that often made me laugh.
