Autumn AG Challenge Guidelines, Info & Chat
Nae Bother. Thanks for the fun.
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

It’ll probably only be until the next update, but at the moment I’m the virtual leader of the Challenge.
Let me bask in my own glory for a little while, however short it’ll last…
Before Lady Kestrel updates the ‘Yard Sale’ scores and my self-confidence takes another hit.
The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka
........aaaaaand the moment’s gone already…

In Yard Sale, there are still 5 items that haven’t been identified yet.

Please note that I will be away from my computer for several hours starting now. I will check and update scores as soon as I can.

The answers have been posted in the week 2 threads, but I will need at least another hour before I put up the new puzzles and post the cumulative scores. Sorry for the delay, but it has been a crazy day!

*sigh* Please bear with me. I will have to rework the Week 3 Headlines puzzle because Photobucket shrank it down too much.

No worries. Hope the crazy day you were having ended up okay. We can even wait a day if necessary—see how polite we can be?
All is well, Becky. There was just too much of everything at once. Sometimes I can see the appeal of being a hermit (but with internet, of course).
The headlines are fixed and should be readable now.

it has been a crazy day!
Welcome to the club!
Zobraks isn’t really evil, but he is relentless.
He’s stupid too. It was a beautiful autumn day here in Moesia Superior and what did he do: instead of taking a walk or a bike ride he trawled through AG screenshots like there’s no tomorrow . Idiotic SOB.

Gah. Last week’s moral seems to be ‘if you’ve no time left for hunting, you might as well guess’ - if I’d just gone with my gut on the ones I couldn’t find anywhere I’d have more points!
I am appreciating the sensible finishing time though - I seem to remember some years the MM tournament rounds ended at around 2am here. I wasn’t married then, though!
Phlebas,
I’ve found that throwing out guesses at the last minute sometimes works for me, but not usually.
Regarding the deadline time change, the mods who helped at MM were all west of me here in NJ, so we had to set a time to accomodate all. Now that it’s just me, I deided to make it earlier.
Zobraks,
Changing your avatar to black and white made me smile. Too bad I didn’t write a news article about him.

Zobraks,
Changing your avatar to black and white made me smile.
Hehe. I didn’t change it to black and white, that’s the way he is in the game manual. I loved his pose and thus have used him as my avatar. That character is so much like me: doesn’t have a clue what’s going on and keeps shrugging his shoulders.
Speaking of him, I just had started replaying the game a couple of weeks ago when my laptop went belly up . The same thing happened last year in the middle of MMFT.
Too bad I didn’t write a news article about him.
Yeah. Your newspaper headlines made me chuckle the whole day long.
