I’ve only played one of the games which I know is a very good game (obviously to get this far!) but it’s not one of my favourites! There’s a good possibility that I would prefer its rival but as I haven’t played it & this is the final I’m going to abstain from voting!  Smile

And here we go

Day of the Tentacle

It was predictable as anything, said Tim’s game is a lock.

Both great games.  Both also a bit overrated IMO.  But still great.

I’m kind of torn in my voting to be honest, even though GF ranks higher on my better game list.  It’d be more boring to see GF win the competition than DOTT.  And DOTT is funnier and it has better puzzles, so it matches up with it better than it would with some other games that are more well rounded.

I’ll just abstain on voting since I’m not really passionate about who wins between these two.  I’ll let those that are passionate about it have their voices heard.

Side note: I totally would’ve voted for another Tim Schafer game, Full Throttle, over either of these though.

I vote for Day of the Tentacle because Grim Fandago seems like a Nintendo 64 game. The polygonal graphics seem like blah compared to the drawn animation style games.

Day of the Tentacle for me because of it’s fantastic 2D cartoonist style and the point and click mechanism. Other than that both are pretty equal.

Grim Fandango. Tied for my third fave game with GK1. Music, setting, atmosphere - all so beautiful.

Gah… can’t… decide…

I love both games.  Similar games in some ways but very different in others.  Of course GF has lack of mouse control going against it, but that’s not much of an issue as it worked fine.

At a push I would probably go with Grim Fandango.  Maybe the hammer puzzle in DOTT swung if for me, that drove me nuts!

Blah… DOTT has the better puzzles and the better graphic design. Grim Fandango has the better atmosphere, better story and better soundtrack. And Manny. And it feels deeper. I’ll go with Grim Fandango.

We already had that contest!!

Grim Fandango is a far superior game of course and gets my vote with ease.

Grim Fandango. Just playing again the remastered version and it’s a great experience once again.
