It could be worse: early next year could turn into late next year.

The first game that came to mind is The Last Crown, which has been suffering from brackentoritis for ages.

I backed this project and it looks gorgeous thus far….
The updates seem to indicate it’s on the right track. Maybe they can get it out in the targeted date (Out2015). DOn’t know the announcement of the new Myst game and Myst series with Legendary will impact this one.
