This is a very hard choice, at least 4 superb games, that I find hard to split out in points, but here goes:

Oh man, why does the really great games always end up in the same groups?!

Well Iznogood, if there’s any consolation, it seems that 4/5 of them will easily pass the group

Yeah - But both overclocked and cognition also deserves to at least make it into the playoffs imltho - Of course neither would end up the last game standing, so I guess it really doesn’t matter that much when they are eliminated

Pandora Directive is the best Tex (so far, hope there will be more!). And Overclocked is very underrated.

Overclocked was let down by its ending but was pretty dark, intense and fascinating for the large proportion of the game, Tex Murphy I’m always annoyed by the mazes/stealth sections and the torn papers but enjoy the stories and humor immensely; Cognition tried some neat gameplay ideas even if plot-wise the killer was a bit too obvious; Dreamfall is still one of the loveliest looking adventures around (albeit with one or two incredibly annoying sections) and Amon Ra I had a lot of time for back in the day though it’s been quite a while since I last played it.
Sam and Max can consider itself unlucky but its always been the most overrated of the LucasArts adventures in my opinion. Telltale did a better job with them IMO, but I say that as some one not familiar with their non-gaming existence, so what would I know? Anyway, doesn’t look like they need my help, so meh…
