Death Gate is one of the greatest, best-written adventure games. And so is Monkey Island, only I prefer the 2nd one. And Myst is Myst (not sure about the 3rd part though).

Incredibly difficult to order these 3 gems. Resonance is my favourite Wadjet Eye game ever, and Monkey Island is, well, Monkey Island, but I just had so, SO much fun with Stacking when I played it. I had severe reservations when I read DF claim that it was an adventure game at heart, but when I started playing it that’s exactly what it felt like. A beautiful, charming whimsical modern take of the adventure game.
As much as I love MI, I always preferred MI2, and I just had more sheer “fun” playing Stacking than I did playing Resonance.
That’s the only reasoning I can come up with at the moment for the ordering, at any rate. Love ‘em all.

Kind of hard to choose because the games are so different.
SoMI and Myst were both groundbreaking games, and both were amazing the first time I played them.
