We seriously need this to happen.
Add “Rating” in order.

Let me tell you how I was using this magificient website, before you guys screwed up.
In “Reviews” used to check “All” and order by “Ratings”.
And from a list, of Best Games in this loveable genre to a really Shitty ones in same genre, I find myself a great game.
This new feature is great also, I can eliminate other platforms and leave PC, and search from Comedy or Thriller, depending on my mood… but I really need list from Best to Shitty ones…  Meh

You mean something exactly like this?

If anyone screwed up here, it wasn’t us.

There seem to be countless problems with this page, by the way.

If I look at the list for All categories, it has MI1 and LA Noire among the 5-star games, but if I switch to PC only, those two games disappear, even though they shouldn’t. (I’m sure lots more disappear in this way for other scores, but I’m not going to check all 30-odd pages. At least Isabelle seems to be missing at the other end of the spectrum.)

Also there’s nothing in the 3DS category, even though there should at least be Dr. Lautrec. Likewise, the Casual category should have far more than a single game.

Also again, the page with All categories only has games that received a scored review (as it probably should), but when switching to, say, PC, you get all sorts of unscored reviews at the end (freeware games).

Speaking of which, how is the list supposed to work for freeware games, since those never get scores? (Oh, and Gemini Rue shouldn’t be in that category.)

Also, some scores don’t seem to match the review; for instance, Crime Scene has one star on the list, but only half a star in the actual review. (And how did Crime Scene get a lower score than Unsolved Crimes??? Tongue )

I’ll stop here, but clearly that page needs a lot more testing. In principle, it’s nice though.

Yeah, the review filter issues are known problems.

First I’ve heard about score discrepancies, though, so I’ll look into that.

I’m not sure what you’re asking about the freeware games.  There is a filter to display just those, though of course they aren’t listed in rating order for obvious reasons.  I believe they’re simply listed chronologically by article date.

It’s currently not possible to add a “sort by rating” option to Games A-Z (I won’t bore you with the details, but it’s due to how the site is structured under the hood). However, as Jack pointed out, the Top Reviewed page offers this functionality.

Any small bugs you might see on the Top Reviewed page are due to how games and articles are manually tagged in the database. For instance, LA Noire (the game) is tagged as PC, but the article was based on the PS3 version (before a PC version had even been announced), so it wasn’t tagged as PC at the time. We do constantly go through the db to update the entries.

Thanks for pointing out the Crime Scene score - this was a bug in how the large stars are displayed, and I’ve corrected it.
