Piri The Explorer Ship (1998) is an obscure Mystian 1st-person game, made by a Turkish company. Nobody else on board, just you and the voice of a former captain. You’re supposed to sail the boat to several ports and retrace the steps of Piri Reis, a cartographer and sailor who lived in the 16th century.

I’m sorry to say I didn’t get anywhere with Piri. Cry I explored the ship, found a few puzzles, read a diary, tried to do something useful with the astrolabe-quadrant thingies in the pic and failed. That’s it. And of course there’s no walkthrough to be found on the internet.

Love the title of the ship series!

So it was Piri! Clever… I first heard of this game when a certain user (I’d tell you his username is “So There”, but perhaps he wants to stay anonymous) posted a mini-review of it, but I’m afraid it’s on Prikaprednazperuke language.

Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale

I got you and your drunken sailor song to thank for that. Smile
Woke up this morning with that song still in my head. Frown

Aha! Mr so anonymous there might help me out.

Oops! That’s what you get for not deleting quiz attempts in ages…

Yay, ship series!
Hoping the one ‘ship-based’ game I’ve played (excluding secret files) will show up. *eager anticipation*

I play story-heavy games, watch animation, anime, B-movies, disaster movies, sci-fi movies and crime shows and try to write about it all on my blog: Snark, pedantry and random geekery
