Exactly my point Advie.  I’ve seen this issue practically destroy forums and turn friends into enemies. Not what you want here.

Your “keep you damn mouth shut” is a highly original way of making and keeping friends here, I’ll grant you that.

Moreover, it’s hard to remedy the combination of arrogance and silliness.
(“Too close for comfort? Deny the facts all you like.”)

Heh. The facts in the movie Waltz with Bashir are undisputed.

but I can’t help thinking you should never have mentioned it!

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Frown

Guys and gals, this thread has been derailed enough. Apparently one warning wasn’t enough. Unless you’re talking about The Cat Lady or the specific Scene of the Day, I will turn to post deletion.

The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka

Here’s this thoughtful poem altogether:
‘RIVER’
“Standing by the river I wonder…do I need a stone…no…my heart is heavy enough…it will drag me down for sure.”.....
“Standing by the river I smile…will I miss it all?...no…I’ll be glad to leave it behind…and never come back.”.....
“Standing by the river I close my eyes…one jump and I’m there…no…someone jumped after me…he will never be my friend.”.....
“Standing by the river I’m thinking…will I jump again?...no…behind the closed doors…I have fallen in love with the razor.”.....

Susan recites this intermittently whilst standing on a bridge throughout chapter 3 - I really liked it because I interpreted it as Susan ready to face the world.
