Hi All,

Check the Trailer here:

“A FANTASTIC SEQUEL to a fantastic first game. Every serious adventure gamer should have played this game.” - AdventureGamers
“WELL WORTH of your time and money” - ACG (Adventure Classic Gaming)

Following the success, media praises and high user ratings of the first game - Simon the Sorcerer (Also available on Android), we proudly present its long-awaited sequel.

Just when he thought his life was regaining some semblance of normality, Simon’s wonder years are once again turned upside down when the evil sorcerer Sordid returns from the grave with only one thing on his mind - revenge!
Sordid reconstructs his Fortress of Doom and sends a magical wardrobe to fetch Simon, but it accidentally ends up on the doorstep of Calypso, the wizard Simon had to save in the first game. Simon then starts to look for a special fuel that can power back the wardrobe and get him home.
Journey with Simon through this inevitable sequel to the best selling Simon the Sorcerer, as he manages once more to get stuck in a land of twisted fairytales, recycled gags and carbon dated clichés!
With a cast of thousands (mostly woodworm) and enough Swampy Stew to keep an underprivileged country sick for a year, this classic adventure will keep you well entertained until we manage to make another sequel.

This probably shouldn’t upset me as much as it does, but the new graphic design is really poor and an insult to the original artists. The new interface completely clashes with the game world, and while it may make sense for some to filter the old artwork, filtering the original pixel font is nothing less than an abomination.
How much can it cost to pay a capable graphic designer to create a matching interface?

Kudos for bringing the game to Android, and letting us play with the original graphics, though.

ScummVM allowed to run original games on Android. And this “new graphic mode” looks like a rather ugly filter. Also pixel-hunting was never much of a problem in Simon, it had hotspot highlighting. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

As a fan of the original pixel art, I’d rather see a demo video showing how the game plays using the “retro settings” option.

Are you kiddin’ me, practically all of this was already possible using ScummVM and this gfx filter is a horrible insult to the beautiful original artwork.

Unfortunately effort used here seems totally wasted.

Personally I’d never have the guts to call scaled up 2D art beautiful or stunning. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn’t.

For those that didn’t notice the major differences from ScummVM:

- The Game is included Smile All versions in one low price

- New Hotspots interface for fun and easy gaming on touch devices. Here again the link to the gameplay video (tutorial):

- Hotspots highlighting - ScummVM on mobile platforms doesn’t allow ‘Hotspots Highlighting’ (only on Desktop platforms)

- 8 languages and allows Voice and Subtitles at the same time.

- New game menus and save/load system

- Music score in MT-32 out of the box + MT-32 fixes not found in the original games

- Newly created ‘Actions bar’ (bottom part of the game) - but it’s possible to switch to the original one (if preferred)

- New OPTIONAL graphic mode that up-scales the game beautifully to high-resolutions - Based on our statistics of Simon the Sorcerer (1), most users preferred it and the ‘Medium’ settings (more authentic look - but still upscale).

Didn’t we do this half a year ago? And conclude that it looks awful?

This is the thread you’re thinking of, and yes, we had this entire conversation already.
Also, 95% disliked it there, too (with Toefur being the only one who didn’t mind). Grin
