Maintenance work tonight
Hey all,
Sorry about the maintenance work tonight running long. The site’s actually running on a new machine than it was a couple of hours ago. I had the new machine ready to go Friday, so getting the last day’s worth of content synced over only took a few minutes. I didn’t want to bring the box up without taking a backup snapshot, though, and unfortunately since it’s a new machine the differential snapshot system took nearly 2 hours to grab the first backup.
Anyway, the site should be up and running now, so please let me know if anything seems amiss.
no bullshiting but the site was always kinda slow for me at browsing through ,it work fantastic today ,thanks a lot tobacco.
I’m glad to hear it’s faster (though that wasn’t actually my goal with this work

speaking of which ,there is one glitch that drives me crazy sometimes ,; when you click submit post with fast reply and some error happen , clicking back reveals what written is still saved ,but if from the post reply window then all would be gone .how many times I had lost a post and had to rewrite again from start ,is quite a number.
