What is this game?
Kyrandia 2 - Hand of Fate
I think. It’s certainly one of them.
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

Thanks, you’re right. I also forgot about Google image search.
To match the cityscape in Diego’s post—an image from What Makes You Tick: A Stitch in Time.
A new image to match from Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle:
From the same game, to match(can anyone guess what I’m playing atm..):
I play story-heavy games, watch animation, anime, B-movies, disaster movies, sci-fi movies and crime shows and try to write about it all on my blog: Snark, pedantry and random geekery
The perspective is different, but…

Here’s one from Dreamfall. The color palette is different, but the location and the young heroine in a winter jacket is similar.
And a new screen to match from the same game.
I thought the scene from Dreamfall might remind someone of other twisty staircases, like the one in Black Mirror.
Or Discworld Noir.
On to a new screenshot to match—this one from Keepsake.
I’ll go with Mystery of the druids
Ok, next screenshot… how about…
Baby from Simon 2

Just for the record, that reminds me of that Silver Lining Caption Contest picture.
As for Simon the Sorcerer, here’s the nursery from Phantasmagoria:

Anyone want some Fat-Food?
A different kind of junk food from Anacapri: The Dream:
Match this one from the same game:
Carpe chocolate.
Match this one from the same game:
LOL, it’s the same one???
Anyway, reminds me of this:
Next (also from Callahan’s Crosstime Saloon):
The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka
If it involves crates and boxes, there will always be in the mind of any true adventurer the deep psychological scars left by (not mentioning any names) certain 3D adventure games made by Revolution Software during the years 2002-2006
Next: An idyllic paradise to help get everyone’s minds off boxes
If this were QI, the klaxon would’ve gone off at Broken Sword 3.
