If you thought Arthur is not giving you enough history information, there’s a fan made “background” series along the playthrough currently going on:

1 Thera and the Minoan Explosion
2 Terrace Farming
3 The Himalayas: A Brief Primer

In other news, I’m stuck high above the ground level in the temple. Now, where did I see this:

... oh yeah - it’s the same crystal ball like in Keepsake:

OK, just how many of you solved this without a help?

Tongue (yeap, I’ve finally solved the “Michael Jackson” puzzle! Yeah!)

I solved it with the old-fashioned monkey approach - by clicking randomely for some 15 minutes. Piece of cake.

I won’t say how long I worked at it before consulting a walkthrough. Looks like random clicking would have been more effective.

Just curious diego—what did you think of the ending?

TEMPORAL RIP ALERT: Diego is finishing the playhrough!

- He’ll make it!
- He won’t make it!

Gage, it’s over, finally.
Yeah? And what about Karlok… what about The Chief? I’ve lost them, Michelle, it’s all my fault.
Grin

It was dramatic, climatic and ecstatic: Grin

it was also Alien-atic:

Tongue

The final FMV sequence was a bit of a puzzle in itself. I gather that the Quo-Thalus representative was actually wearing some sort of elaborate organic armor, and the creature that came out of the hole near the end was what the Quo-Thalus people really look like. Is that right?

Yeah, I’m also inclined to believe in that theory. It reminds me of The 13th Warrior with enemies that look like “aliens”, the terrifying evil, nothing previously seen or known to humans, and, in one of the best scenes in the movie they realize their enemy is just “like them”, when one of them loses the mask in the battle. It could be that the “octopus-esque” Grin skin is probably just the result of a long tradition to separate the same race, like a metaphor to many brutal civil wars in history.
