Er…most of those aren’t actually Lucasfilm/Lucasarts games.  Just pointing that out.  Wink

Yeah, I know - LucasArts/LucasFilm are my most favorite games, the other ones are games I played when I was a kid and would like to add to my collection..

Most of the stuff is currrently not on display, but safely stored in boxes and bubblewrapped, but I’ll attach a pic of one of the boxes contents.. ))

So sad. A factory-sealed game has never felt the love of a player. Why would you want to inflict such cruelty?

You don’t bubble wrap Zoo animals ...Why would you do that to poor defenceless games?  Cry

Sorry I can’t help you Big Al Chicken Man, my Lucasarts games are opened, slightly bashed and lovenly used.

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

I think you’re looking in the wrong place. This is a forum of people enthusiastic about PLAYING games. I would be very surprised if anyone actually had factory-sealed copies, because they will have opened and played them by now.

Continually bumping the thread is also getting close to spamming the forums. If you don’t get any responses, don’t do it again.

Who says he’s not playing them? He can download the games legally since he owns a physical copy. Not to mention the countless of online sale and distribution services.

I’ve got tons of factory sealed games. Collecting games doesn’t make anyone less enthusiastic about the genre. I’ve also never heard of bumping a thread as spam. I’m an administrator of hockeysfuture website and we have 300,000 users. We are considered one of the most moderated websites in existence but I’ve never heard any of our moderators interpreting a thread bump as spam. I hope you wouldn’t hold that against him because if you were most people who are active forum users, that would never cross their mind. Wink

The fact that they specifically want “factory sealed”. If they just wanted a physical copy for whatever reason, then that wouldn’t need to be specified. Incidentally, illegal downloads do not automatically become legal through owning a physical copy. Online sale and distribution is a different matter but, again, if it is just a matter of getting the game itself, why the factory sealed requirement?

A thread bump, almost certainly not. Two thread bumps in a row with the same content and no-one else posting, which is what has happened here, is a different matter.

I keep seeing this thread bumped up & am a bit baffled! I’ve come across collectors of many things - occasionally to use but more commonly to display but I’ve never come cross anyone that picks up stuff & ‘hides’ it! So I’m having a problem with what the point of collecting factory-sealed games is? You don’t use them & stored on mass on shelves they don’t stand out as they could equally be a collection of DVD/CDs etc i.e. there doesn’t seem to be a purpose whatsoever so WHY?

Also I’m not sure why this thread has remained in the Adventure forum so long as it’s obviously a trade thing?

Just like anything else. seeking after rare things are fun. A true factory sealed game is valuable and rare and thus collectable.

In regards to the purpose of the thread, we had a thread like this that went at least 30 pages deep about 5 years ago. It’s not like this site is burdened with activity. While his purpose of opening the thread may have not gone the way he intended, I suspect that the thread will morph into a collection based theme. I recommend we let this run it’s course and then change the name of the title to whatever it morphs into Wink
