This is one of those games I truly wanted to like, but the fact that the game was timed ultimately prevented it. The limited save slots and the fact that you can only save at your office, which costs you time as you have to travel there, means you basically can only save once per day. It can get pretty frustrating at times when you have to keep doing days over and over again until you figure out what to do and in what order to do it.

The game is called The Dame Was Loaded (1995) and is a film noir FMV game that has you investigating a missing person case which unsurprisingly leads to more trouble than you bargained for. The above scene features the requisite femme fatale.

Looks pretty good in videos I checked out. I think I remember this game getting some bad reviews when it was released, probably because of the problems you’re mentioning.
