Nomadsoul seems to have jinxed it after bringing up the Messi vs. Ronaldo freekick stat lol. Messi now scored in 3 consecutive games from freekicks. 6th in the season.

One was nullified by referee, but he did another like a boss

Game was pretty bad, intense but almost nothing created, specially by Atletico so Barcelona deserved. La Liga over (again) great free kick

Part of reason I said I was surprised by the free kicks numbers but Ronaldo did score a lot when he was younger, no idea what happened in the last few years.

After 27 rounds Messi leads La Liga in goals, assists, passes before the assist, shots on goal, completed dribbles, and chances created.

On one hand happy to see PSG get an exit in 8th finals.

It means Neymar had literally 0 added value over the first season. They would’ve won the league either way. Money well spent by Qatar FC.

Particularly Draxler’s comments after the game were hilarious. He basically put into words how it is an embarrassment that 300 mil gets spent but they haven’t made any progress CL-wise.

Happy for Buffon but think an early CL exit would’ve served them well. They had their chances in previous years. Tottenham was clearly best team over two fixtures.
