Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Sunday 08 September 2013
This is the first adventure game I’ve played from this year. I mostly stay a year or two behind. With most games being purely digital now, there is really no hurry to own them as they don’t disappear much, if at all, anymore.
Anyway, my exception this year is the game Gone Home (2013). I’m not sure why I picked this one out of the many others as it’s really short and has no real puzzles, but I wasn’t disappointed. I enjoyed the exploration and the story.
There is already a current thread dedicated to this game so I am not going to give an in depth explanation of it. Instead, I’ll simply ask a question. What, if anything, was pictured in the autostereograms in Sam’s room? I have never been able to see the hidden images in those things no matter how much I stare at them.
good point!
I’m also belonging to the 5-10% of people that can’t see the secret image in such stereograms. Maybe there is software these days to decipher such things?
Could be an easter egg?
Max: Right! We’ll travel through this dimensional portal on the top of the bar!
Sam: That’s spilled beer, rockhead.
Max: Oh in that case ...
To me, one looks like a heart and the other 2 fish.
Like the rest of the game it ws another throwback to the 90s. I collected that stuff that used to come with the local newspaper.
No, seriously, I’ve NEVER seen the secret image in those things either.

Thanks a lot for the info. Not knowing was rather annoying…

Great link. I love Kevin Smith films.
It’s nice to hear I’m not alone in being unable to see such things as well…
For those who can’t see it by themselves, there is a nice website that reveals the hidden image.

also, there’s an easter egg that involves basketball and cats:
Max: Right! We’ll travel through this dimensional portal on the top of the bar!
Sam: That’s spilled beer, rockhead.
Max: Oh in that case ...
It’s funny how even with that site showing me exactly what is in those pictures and where in them they are, I still can’t see them when I look at them.
That cat easter egg is crazy. I would never have seen that basketball up there.
I never had the hope to see the heart or shark without help of that website
