Thanks for that. Merging both and putting the link in the recommendations thread. Cool

You’re welcome. This thread deserves to be sticky.
We want new generations to get infected with AGs, don’t we?

My 7 year old daughter loves to play adventure games with me.

and

Clubberella - 28 September 2014 03:24 PM

First they watch, then they start to play, and then we watch them play.

Fixed.

First buy (at least two) computers (if you have one kid), then you show him/her AGs.
If you want to have a computer to do/play something yourself, that is.

The Whispered World
Don’t play The Longest Journey.

No The Longest Journey with him or at all? I bookmarked it for myself earlier. Tongue And The Whispered World.

Journey of a Roach, Broken Age, Book of Unwritten Tales, Wallace & Grommet, etc. are definitely on the list now, too. I’m also considering Drawn.

*sigh* I have a lot of catching up to do. Wink

Thanks for the merge and all the recs!

No The Longest Journey with him or at all?

Just a joke due to the no “drawn out dialogues”. It’s a notoriously long-winded game.

There’s also Mixed Up Fairy Tales by Sierra, if you can find it: http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/mixed-up-fairy-tales

The Secret Island of Dr. Quandary, which I played as a kid: http://www.mobygames.com/game/secret-island-of-dr-quandary

And Pepper’s Adventures in Time: http://www.mobygames.com/game/peppers-adventures-in-time

And the EcoQuest games recommended earlier also are perfect! Happy gaming to you and your daughter!

But with much much better dialogue than in The Inner World, and The Longest Journey is all in all one of the best games ever made!

But much of the story would probably go over his head, so I would play it alone.
