Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Tuesday 30 July 2013
Night Café (1997) is an edutainment game about 19th century Impressionist painters; in particular those who are shown on the left side of the screenshot.
This is basically an interactive documentary with content locked behind puzzles or content unlocked by finding various objects through exploration. There isn’t an endgame as far as I could tell, but if you are a fan of impressionist art, this may have some appeal to you.
I bought the game earlier this year because I do like the Impressionists, but haven’t played it yet.
