The Raven, their forums, DRM free direct from Nordic, and maybe gog.com?

I made a post on The Raven’s(nordic’s) official english forum over a week ago.  There are only 3 or so threads in the entire forum, and yet, there has been no response.  It seems that the only DRM free version is directly from them(gamersgate is not drm free).  I was hoping for a gog.com release, but I have no guarantee that this will happen.  My question to them was about clarification about the direct from them DRM free download.

Has anyone here bought directly from nordic?  Is it truly DRM free, without online activation, etc?  Thanks!

I’ve read on gog.com that they will release it when all the episodes are out - I think it’s their policy to not sell episodic games not complete.

Most places sell the Steam version.

Yes, Yes and Yes, Your Welcome.

Note however that unlike GOG etc. then they don’t keep your copy forever, you can only download it for a limited time like a year or so. So if you after a couple of years decide you want to replay it, and have lost the original download files, then you will have to buy it again.

That’s a weird policy if it’s true.

Hopefully a DRM-free version of The Raven will be available on FireFlower Games later on. Smile

There’s also a post about it on the POS forum. They will have it there when all episodes of Cognition has been released.
But they might have changed the policy now according to another post further down.

The one at the JA store seems to be DRM-free, I think. At least, it didn’t require a key or on-line activation, and runs without an internet connection.
