SEGA is, always was and forever will be pure garbage. There’s hardly any SEGA console games I actually like. Grandia is one of the few I can name - and naturally I played the PlayStation version of that Cool

Actually, I wouldn’t mind more people thinking that so collecting for the system is much cheaper. Snatcher is a great Sega adventure game and it goes for ridiculous prices.

And as for platformers - which was what I mainly judge the old consoles on - SEGA and their horrible Sonic games doesn’t even compare to Mario or Donkey Kong Country.

Heh, that’s where our main disagreement lies, I think. I never was a fan of Sonic (never got the appeal - what’s the fun of a platformer when it’s so fast you can’t see what’s ahead?), but I never was a fan of Mario either.
Sega did have some good platformers. The Alex Kidd / Wonder Boy games were pretty good and I loved their Asterix game…

The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka

Apart from any adventure games, I consider The SNES Donkey Kong Country series (1,2&3), the best games ever existed.

I remember the first time I saw the first Donkey Kong in friends house. One of those jaw-dropping moments. Have you tried the new Donkey Kong from Retro? It’s the best 2D platformer I played in years.

The Amiga introduced me to adventures games (Sierra and Lucasarts), for that only it puts it above any console (also had the best football game ever Sensible Soccer)
