Mystery/Secret of the Nautilus Different Versions?
So I have been playing The Secret of the Nautilus.
And I just consulted a walkthrough, and it is obviously talking about the same game, but a very different game.
I do not have cursor icons, all interactive areas are constantly highlighted with their own icons.
I cannot wear items, and there are far less items in my version of the game.
But the screenshots show a a basically identical game-word, and the same basic puzzles, just missing steps in my simplified version.
What is going on?
Which version is the best, and how can you tell which is which?
I think The secret of the Nautilus is a sort of casual version, while The Mystery of the Nautilus is the first one released (from 2002 I think). The casual one, is not as hard as The Mystery of the Nautilus, not so many inventory items, and some puzzles may be cut if I remember right…
But I think you can get more info searching the game’s forum on Big Fish
PS: if you like it, you can try Return to mysterious island also or Destination treasure island. I liked playing them both.

Played both of those.
I was under the impression that the name was based on region, and was not an indicator of what version it was.
