Hello Adventure Players,

I would like to introduce Avolteha to you.
It is a classic point & click adventure game. It will be available as a mobile version for iPhone / iPad.

The special thing is the communication. All communication will be done in hand drawn speech bubbles. Apart from the Avolteha logo, the game has no text.

The story:

AVOLTEHA
The extraordinary planet where Paul embarks on his greatest adventure.

Avolteha is covered by landscapes full of sand, rock and volcanoes. One element you look for in vain here. Water - the source of all life. The only water is found in the clouds that pass over Avolteha.

The only way to get this precious commodity is a type of mushroom that can extract the water.
The inhabitants of Avolteha therefore began many years ago to build their settlement around those mushrooms. Over time, however, the mushrooms began to sprout their roots higher and higher.
To restore the water supply, Paul and his friends built a connection from the new cloud city downwards.

In the meantime, Paul no longer lives in the city. Now, however, he received a letter. His friends needed his help. The water source had gone out once again.

What happened?
Paul’s greatest adventure is ahead of him. The great riddle of Avolteha is waiting for him and wants to be solved. It must be solved - for the good of all the inhabitants of this wonderful planet.

I am also still looking for beta testers. If you are interested, please contact me. I can make the beta available to you via Testflight.

Update 2022

It turns out that the iCloud connection still needs some development time. Many bugs are already fixed.
Also an extension if it hangs with the iCloud times was developed.

All this is currently being tested intensively to find errors in the recovery of data.

This looks like a mash-up of Samorost and Down in the Dumps.

That’s not a criticism. Curiosity piqued!

When I first played Machinarium on the iPad 1, the idea for this game was born.
The game principle was completely new. To control objects with the finger. Incredible.
It took a lot of time to realize this.

I was thinking just that. Looks like a fun game. But only available on Ios? Can’t play it.

It’s been discussed before, but shouldn’t there be some kind of section that is devoted to games that are only playable on a single platform?

Topic can be transferred to the main venue once additional platforms are added.

Avolteha was developed entirely in Xcode / Swift. There will be no extension to other platforms.

Well, that certainly is a no-go.

I can understand a one-platform release only. But why didn’t you inform us of about this when you initially informed us about the game itself? It seems like a pretty essential piece of information for me?

In the second sentence in this thred it was communicated.
(It is a classic point & click adventure game. It will be available as a mobile version for iPhone / iPad.)

I still think it was the right decision, because for me quality comes before earnings. I could list pages and pages of pitfalls that would have to be considered in order to support all devices.
