Next month the most important awards for mobile and tablet gaming will be host in San Francisco. It was good to see that among the few nominees, we can find no less than 5 high quality adventure games:

Ghost Trick: Phantom detective
Hollywood Monsters
Lili
The Walking Dead

I know Pendulo was working on a tablet version of The Next Big Thing (Hollywood Monsters 2), are you sure that’s not the one you meant? Or have they actually made an English version of the 1998 Hollywood Monsters?

EDIT: Nvm, looking closer it is indeed The Next Big Thing they are talking about, yet they’ve confusingly decided to call it Hollywood Monsters.

Duckman: Can you believe it? Five hundred bucks for a parking ticket?
Cornfed Pig: You parked in a handicapped zone.
Duckman: Who cares? Nobody parks there anyway, except for the people who are supposed to park there and, hell, I can outrun them anytime.

Yes, for some reason Hollywood Monsters is the chosen name for mobiles/tablets, while for PC and mac is The Next Big Thing. I played both on iPad and mac and I have to say I really liked it.

Because of calling it Hollywood Monsters, mobile games will never know a game cam before it. Frown

They released the PC game as Hollywood Monsters too in Spain so I don’t think there was a hidden agenda. Maybe something about rights?
