I don’t remember SH vs AL being that hard.

Well I do Wink
Though I still loved it.

Anyway this does look very promising.

Well, clearly, I’m just much more intelligent than you.  Cool

Or… perhaps… your memory just isn’t as good as mine.

Much more likely.

Heh, the same analogy was made in the Casual Games thread over the weekend.

From this day henceforth, casual games shall be referred to as junk food!

Actually that analogy was made slightly over a year ago. We’re in 2014 now, not 2013 Laughing

[So depressing. Ever since it became grounds for arguments, I lost interest in even participating in the thread.

The specific comments Timovieman linked made up about eight relevant comments, most of which I didn’t consider negative. That’s about 1/4 of a page of what is currently a 48-page thread. I don’t recall any other comments other than those occurring either before or since. I, and other participants certainly want to see you back.

FWIW, I am not a Casual Gamer. I am an adventure game player that also enjoys Causal Games.

As far as the game in question, I doubt I will ever play it. At least not until I have had the opportunity to play a demo. The Frogware’s 3D interface is, to me, the most nausea-inducing interface ever created. After purchasing the first SH game, I swore never to even look at another. I know that people love these games. I’m just not one of them.

Can’t they do a modern Sherlock like the BBC series? That would be cool and the style does remind me of it.

Please NO! I love the way they make 19th century England alive.

Thanks for the compliment, if you meet some troubles playing our games, you can complain on the forum, and also you can write us, so we can give you some advice or propose you to change the game version. Because, we are people too, not only a giant corporation spreading its tentacles everywhere and creating, on purpose, games (25 of them!) that make you sick, since 2000.

If you can reply the questions below, I’m sure we’ll find a way for you to play our games without suffering…too much.

1. which of our game was it?
2. did you play in first person or third person? were you sick with both?
3. did you ever play games in 3D?
4. did you ever play games in 3D base on Unreal engine?
5. did you try to change FOV in the game?

You can also write the support, the email address is support(at)frogwares.com. With the replies to the questions above.

Although your response was tongue in cheek, there was obviously no compliment intended.

I don’t remember the game. It was one of the first, if not the first Sherlock game.

I’m certain it was played in first person. While I might have become equivalently ill, the effects would have started sooner in first person.

I don’t think any of the last three questions apply to the game I played.

FWIW, Frogwares is not the only game publisher/developer that has caused me problems. In fact, there is a Community Playthrough going on right now. The game is Journeyman Project 3, and, if you read the thread you will note I expressed some discomfort about the 3D interface…even though this one is quite mild by comparison.

That was brilliant. And it looks like they have pretty nice facial animations going on as well.

Ain’t it appropriate that one of Doyle’s stories is titled The Adventure of the Dancing Men? Grin
