New adventure games - too scary?
I totally agree with that dark thriller and scary/horror games are two different things.
I really love thrillers like Gabriel Knight, Cognition, Ben Jordan, even Broken Sword I consider a thriller even though it got some light moments.
I would choose a thriller any day over light hearted/comedy games like Deponia, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, etc. (I like these games though)
What I definitely don’t like is horror/gory games. For instance I would never ever pick up a game like Amensia or the Cat Lady. I’m not a big fan of too much gore and jumping out of my seat on a constant basis.
