Quiz: They Do It With Mirrors

We drive into the future using only our rearview mirror.
Marshall McLuhan

Every self-respecting adventure game has one or more mirrors as part of the furniture. But the mirror is such a versatile and magic object! I’ve tried to collect some of the more interesting reflecting surfaces.

The quiz will run until Tuesday 11 December, 20:00 CET.
It will be PM-based because most people prefer it that way.
You know the rules: One guess per pic per PM, but as many PMs as you like.

I think it’s an easy quiz, with maybe a dozen hard ones, but in the end that’s of course for you to say.

Enjoy!

PS: I forgot to mention that a few games have more than one pic.

PPS: Nobody agrees with me that the quiz is easy, so I take it back.

PPPS: I’ve posted new pics and/or hints for the games that haven’t been guessed yet, see next page.

**27 -  Googling the hint, bright red, would have brought up the Laurie Anderson album that was the basis for the game, including the song Puppet Motel.
***81 – The odd thing is that the protagonist in this 1st-person game is the only man in the female world of AD 2044, but does his reflection look like a man’s face…?

Bonus Question: Good thing Tex Murphy resisted the urge to draw on steamed up mirror #91, or the guy who’d just taken a hot shower would have known someone had been hiding in his bathroom.

Bonus Pic: Cube Escape The Lake

6 x 237 = 1422

That’s an amazing amount of mirrors, Karlok!  This is going to be a real challenge.

Not only did I fall off the diet wagon, I dragged it into the woods, set it on fire, and used the insurance money to buy cupcakes.

I’m sorry the quiz proves to be so hard, that was not my intention. I’ll post better pics and/or give hints for the unguessed ones after the weekend.

Please don’t get disheartened Karlok - it’s an excellent quiz & hard is good!  Thumbs Up

You only posted it 3 days ago so really not long enough for anyone with work & family commitments to get stuck in & possibly for other members that don’t visit the site so often to even realise there is a quiz.
In view of that & that there are a lot of pics I would suggest extending the quiz by a week & posting clues much later on.  Smile

I agree with Chrissie that this is an excellent quiz.  With so many pictures to ponder, many are bound to be unfamiliar.  After an initial pass of guessing the ones I’m pretty sure I know, I then focus on finding confirmation of the “iffy” ones.  Sometimes it takes staring at an image for quite a while before the lightbulb goes on, but often the bulb is completely burned out.  I’m not about to light up the world, but I’m having fun anyway. I’ll echo what Chrissie and Lady K said (except in my case the bulb hasn’t so much burned out but never worked in the first place Smile ).
