I enjoy playing adventure games on my Alienware M17 r4 and my Nintendo Switch OLED.
I used to play over 30 adventures a year. Now I’m lucky to play 2. So from my recollection of best games played, here is my top 10:
1. Riven
2. Myst Exile
3 Rhem series (I can’t choose, they are all wonderful)
4. Gabriel Knight Beast Within
5. Riddle of the Sphinx
7. Zork Nemesis
8. Obsidian
9. Schizm
10. Black Dahlia
Ugh, this is hard. Here we go:
1. Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers
2. Gabriel Knight 2: The Beast Within
3. The Walking Dead (if you count watching “Let’s Plays” of it on Youtube it’s probably the game I’ve replayed the most in my life outside of GK 1 and 2. It’s a great game, and a great way of telling a story while also allowing for a ton of interactivity. And for once I feel the pain of loving a game that’s among the most hated in the genre, ala fans of games like Myst)
4. Resonance (without a doubt the most enjoyable traditional adventure game I’ve played since TLJ came out. I loved it as much as I loved the best adventure games I played for the first time when I was a kid, and I didn’t know that’d be possible for me anymore until I played this)
5. Full Throttle

7. Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward
