I only have some very fuzzy memories of Dynamix’s Heart of China, most of them having something to do with getting killed repeatedly for no clear reason, and with the game’s branching storyline (I was never sure if all the branches could lead to the ending, or if some were just dead ends).

The premise was intriguing and unusual (well, I guess now that we’ve had Lost Horizon, it’s not unique anymore), and it had a fantastic MT-32 soundtrack. But I came to it several years after its release, and the gameplay didn’t really “click” with me at that point. I guess I should give it another chance some day.
