Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Saturday 20 September 2014
Byzantine: The Betrayal (1997) is an edutainment title. First-person and FMV with Turkish actors. Being educated while playing a game can be fun and Turkey’s history is certainly very interesting, but IMO murder mysteries and education are not really compatible.
See you around, wolf. Nerissa
Underrated (you can see it by the number of comments here, as well). Actually, I don’t know if it’s underrated, or obscure, as I always get the impression not many people played it and talked about it. Perhaps it’ll change once it’s on GOG.
Recently finished: Four Last Things 4/5, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout 5/5, Chains of Satinav 3,95/5, A Vampyre Story 88, Sam Peters 3/5, Broken Sword 1 4,5/5, Broken Sword 2 4,3/5, Broken Sword 3 85, Broken Sword 5 81, Gray Matter 4/5\nCurrently playing: Broken Sword 4, Keepsake (Let\‘s Play), Callahan\‘s Crosstime Saloon (post-Community Playthrough)\nLooking forward to: A Playwright’s Tale
I love the screenshot Karlok & it’s a game that I’ve never played that does intrigue me - it has FMV sequences in it?
it has FMV sequences in it?
Yes, it’s one of those entirely done in FMV games - the locations and the actors are FMV, + cutscenes
