I’ve been playing the 1st chapter of The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief (2013) for a few hours now & loving it! I like the plot so far, the characters, which for the most part are well voice acted, are interesting & some of the inventory puzzles I’ve found pleasingly challenging. The graphics look good & there are some impressive & quite exciting cut scenes too!

The first part is by far the best. Also Constable Zellner is great! Smile

Are there any new adventures you haven’t played, Sefir?

Oh you would be surprised….The truth is that I am very selective of the adventures I play.

(Your question though, made me have a look of all the titles released in 2013 and 2014. More games added to my “to play” list).

The REAL question is - did you, Karloff, played all adventures that take place on a train? Did you finish Murder on the Orient Express and The Raven, Karloff? I did! (Well, not The Raven)

This is a reminder that I never got to play the 3rd episode… This is one game that didn’t need episodes.

I thought it was refreshing that the protagonist Constable Zellner is middle-aged, balding & overweight but at the same time so likeable - yes! he’s a great character!

That was a little disappointing to read but ‘fore-warned is fore-armed’ so I’m sure I’ll enjoy the next Chapter because of my now low expectation of it!

I really don’t like games being produced in episodic form as you never know if the next one will materialise but can see from a financial point of view it helps the developers. But no matter with this one as I waited until it was finished & bought all 3 Chapters together! - has anyone got to the end of the 3rd?

I have played the whole game, and it is sort of a hit & miss game.
There are many things I liked about it, Constable Zellner in particular, but also much that I didn’t like, but I won’t destroy anything for you by going into details about it.

There is also a eGraphic Novel (that’s what they call it) that sort of works as a prologue for the game, which I actually found more enjoyable than the actual game Confused
You can play it here.

So there are THREE games in the Orient Express? I didn’t know that! Yep, I’ve played the other two. Smile

Isn’t it remarable that I asked my question before you posted about Titanic in the other thread!

I sensed your ship! I also know which game it is. Neutral

I’m happy to hear some positive thoughts on it. I’ve wanted to play it because of the who-dun-it, but I’ve held of purchasing because of the weak reviews.
I really should pick it up. After all I’ve played through all the Poirot games, even though I did not particularly enjoy their gameplay (or story writing in AttWN).

I play story-heavy games, watch animation, anime, B-movies, disaster movies, sci-fi movies and crime shows and try to write about it all on my blog: Snark, pedantry and random geekery
