Violett (2013) is a great puzzle game. My kind of puzzles with contraptions, levers, water, finding out what does what. Just like another puzzler with marvelous eye candy, Lilly Looking Through, it has a flimsy story. So what, it’s a puzzle game and a challenging one at that.

I’ll check this out.

P.S. Now I know how TM must have felt hearing of strange old AGs for the first time - I feel the same way about these new AGs (hardly ever heard of any of those).

I actually bought this a while back (along with a bunch of other games), and I’ve yet to fire it up… I completely forgot about it Confused Better get back to it!

Duckman: Can you believe it? Five hundred bucks for a parking ticket?
Cornfed Pig: You parked in a handicapped zone.
Duckman: Who cares? Nobody parks there anyway, except for the people who are supposed to park there and, hell, I can outrun them anytime.

The AG reviewer, who gave Lilly 4 stars and Violett only 3, has problems with Violett I don’t share. The clickable hints are helpful enough for me (you can click on them as often as you want) and I’m a happy tinkerer without hotspots. Riven c.s. did fine without them.  Smile

EDIT: What am I blabbering about… there ARE hotspots! Even the exits are shown. I must have played too many games recently and mixed them up. Maybe the reviewer wanted more hotspots?

Why no one told me this game has great graphics? I watched the beginning part on Youtube, and it looks like a mix of Samorost/Myst in a third-person view. Nice.
