I bought this game because I thought it would be great to walk around inside Monet’s paintings in first-person 3D adventure Monet: The Mystery of the Orangery (2000). I was right, it was. I don’t remember much about the story and the timed Frown puzzles, but the developers created a beautiful Monet gameworld.

timed Frown puzzles

May day! May day!
God, I hate those people who make the timed puzzles.

Monet is a great-looking game though.
I might give it a try.

P.S. I remember reading about a nasty “staircase bug” toward the end of this game. Stil have a patch for it somewhere.

Bug, yeah. I didn’t finish the game. Read about the patch later but couldn’t be bothered.

Be sure to check out tomorrow’s AGSotD for another unfinished game with bugs and awful, awful, awful puzzles.  Innocent

Sorry, I’d really like to oblige you, but it’s a 3rd-person game with an inventory. You’re halfright though: no FRIGGIN’ sound clues. Worse: no FRIGGIN’ visual clues either!

I always check these AGSotD’s: a great way to start a day (hey, it rhymes, like in a commercial! ).

Speaking of Monet, here’s a review I learned about that bug from.
You’ll even find the save game there that will help you out.

Edit: the saved game is no longer there .
I’ll try to find it and upload it somewhere for convenience of masses.

Metzomagic/Quandary got the save file from Tap Repeatedly/Four Fat Chicks and it’s still there for download.
