I’m not a real fan of gory, scary or disturbing horror games, although I’ve played some very good ones. I feel more at home in spooky 1st-person Mystian games with lonely exploration, where you know that nothing bad will happen to you. Indie games like Amber, Dark Fall, Barrow Hill. And Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches (2008). Played it twice. The developers were working on a new game, Coven, but they seem to have put it on hold.  Frown

I liked Rhiannon very much.
So much that I wrote a (kind of) review of it. Read on if you can.
Use Google Translate (as usual).

When I use Google Translate the results are always worse than I remembered from the last time. Man, man, man. If I didn’t know any better, I’d conclude that you didn’t like the game.

It looks to be an interesting review zobraks but it did translate very badly! I did glean (did I?) that you weren’t so keen on the slide-show presentation & that the developers could have added some ‘sound effects’ & music to heighten the tension?

I love the bright vibrant sceenshot BTW Karlok!  Smile

I liked it very much, just as I said.

Yes, my language is too colo(u)rful for Google Translate. I often use (wacky & obsolete) words and expressions a lot of people who speak my mother tongue haven’t heard of.

You got it, Chrissie.

Jerry Lewis So There also wrote about the same thing (in his review) and he described the level of horror in Rhiannon as having a ghost telling you (in a deep voice) “Booo, I’m a scary ghost. What are you going to do about it?”
