Here’s a shot from the beginning of Touché: The Adventures of the 5th Musketeer (1995), which I found to be a rather enjoyable game.

“What is wrong with you?”
“What are you doing lying in the gutter, you scoundrel?”

Is he talking to the man stabbed with a knife bledding to death?!?

Yes, he is. This is the start of the game. Offputting?  Laughing

Touche is not a great game IMO, but not bad either. I liked it except for the boring sidekick. Some manservant whose name I have forgotten. He was always hungry and nagging about food.

Think Guybrush. The hero is an idiot trying to become a royal musketeer.

Henri. I thought he was the best Smile The whole game may not be the best example of British comedy, but it’s still pretty hilarious. Easily on pair with Simon the Sorcerer games.

Ok, that makes more sense, in a nonsensical humour way Smile

The scene did remind me monkey island :

(match the screen game in a scene of the day, what?)

I’m not surprised.  Just from the screenshot it totally looks like a Monkey Island ripoff.

Yeah, it looks like, but it isn’t. Nothing less, nothing more than hundreds other 3rd-persons after MI. Apart from somewhat similar hero and humor (and the graphics style) it’s different to MI in some key aspects - the interface is a unique drop-down menu for each object (Touche was released before Monkey Island 3), there’s a sidekick stealing the show from the main character, and the theme of the musketeers is, while on the lighthearted note, well thought out as an “add-on” to Dumas classic.
