Freebie to make adventures with, maybe?
Passing along the announcement I first saw in GoG that YoYo’s Game Maker Studio’s Standard license is free until March 2nd (a $50 value)
This is a fairly simple engine, but it is good enough to program some point ‘n click goodness, with less direct coding than most require.
Or you could just use Adventure Game Studio which is free no matter what….but I have all my students and co-workers get a license even just to have a tool for rapid prototyping.

I definitely agree that Game Maker Studio is a lot faster in the initial stages. That’s what we’ve been finding and why we were so enthused by the freebie/deal. Is AGS stronger in some categories? What advantages does it have over Game Maker besides being free every day? Better free plug-ins? More options for Action-script maybe?
I genuinely would like to hear your opinion on this. Thanks!
