One thing I think the adventure genre has been concistently solid with is awesome soundtracks, but if I had to mention a favorite it’d probably be Curse of Monkey Island.

GF as the best and BS1 in second place. If I had to choose a third, it would be GK1.

1. Riven:

2. Grim Fandango:

3. The Cat Lady:

4. The Whispered World:

5. Full Throttle:

6. Myst 3 Exile:

7. Myst 4 Revelation:

8. The Dig:

9. The Night of the Rabbit:

10. Resonance:

Though it mostly depends on everyone’s music style preference.

Zork Nemesis. It was the first game music I experienced which I felt generated an atmosphere in-game which really added to the game. It seemed to bring about a sense of wonder, very appropriate given the subject matter of the game. It was also ahead of its time for 1996, being primarily ambient and also thick and dense, not just a few bells dinging and birds chirping. I hadn’t heard anything like it before.

And anything Michael Land is a winner for me, of course.

Classic top AG soundtracks as those from Riven, GK2, Myst III, Scratches, Quest for Glory IV, Monkey Island or Grim Fandango.
And my favorite Cryos Dune and Lost Eden.

So I will go with my recent favorite - Umineko no Naku Koro ni (which I consider as a best game ost).
Dead Angle, Discolor, ruriair, ACI-L, Black Liliana...

And Pathologic (Steppes Theme, Termitnik)
