Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Monday 15 July 2013
Although I am only about half way through the musician-based games, I need to take a break and post something different. Themes fly in the face of my rather capricious nature.
This cool screenshot of a fortune teller is from Les Manley in: Search for the King (1990). I can’t believe the humane society wasn’t called on this woman for using a lizard as a candle holder like that…
i wish you posted the scene with Larry walking by outside the Bus Station .
Do the symbols on the cloth have any significance in the game, or are they just random decoration? Two of them are zodiac symbols (Sagittarius and Scorpio), and the third one I don’t recognize.
Warning- People won’t have as much of a sense of humor about you putting an Alka Seltzer in your mouth then staggering into a restaurant while shouting “THE VIRUS HAS MUTATED!” as you’d hope they would.
Consider this: People say “Ewwww!!!” when they hear about a guy having a hairy bum or hairy back, yet every Teddy Bear ever made has had both a hairy bum AND a hairy back and nobody complains about them; In fact, people think Teddy Bears are adorable.

Just decoration.
HardcoreGaming101 posted a piece on Les Manley this week: http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/lesmanley/lesmanley.htm
Pretty grotty looking series. That might just be the SVGA palette though.
