Hey, just a heads up that possibly some accounts or info might have been compromised. I recently received this email:

What you think about this?
Try it!

(edit to remove spam link)

This message was sent to you through your account at:
http://www.adventuregamers.com/
If you do not wish to receive further emails you can disable this preference
in your member profile page.

Edit - probably shouldn’t have included the original link in there as it’s clearly spam, though I didn’t click on it when I opened the email.

I’ll have Marek look into it as soon as he can.

Boggles the mind that wastes-of-life go to such great lengths just to promote spam that no one with half a brain cell would bother with anyway.

No worries, Jackal. They know all the coolest cats on the net hang out at adventuregamers.com, so that’s why they’re interested in us. Smile

If nobody else has reported such an email it could be a fluke, hopefully.

It’s unlikely our system has been compromised. It looks like they’re sending this spam the hard way: registering an account and then sending emails manually.

If you go to your account settings and then Email Settings, and find the “Accept email from other members of this site” option. If it is checked, then this is how you are receiving this email.

Does it tell you the username or email address of the account? If so let me know so I can ban it.

Too late to the party! I got one too, but I see it’s been resolved. Quick work!

The real problem with reality is the lack of background music.
