The where to buy link for Simon the Sorcerer 5 is broken. The whole game can not be found in the Adventure Shop? Is this game discontinued in the Adventure Shop?

It could be discontinued over at the Adventure Shop - I can’t find it anywhere in their catalogue…

I’ve removed the download link.

As far as I know, it’s been discontinued everywhere. (Well, GamersGate was the only other place I knew that carried it, and it’s gone from there as well.)  Must be a copyright issue, but I’ve never heard any kind of formal announcement about it.

It’s quite awhile ago it was discontinued. The publisher went out of business in 2010.

There are lots of games with out-of-business publishers available, so I don’t know what makes the legal issues with this one so special. But someone clearly doesn’t want it being sold.

Don’t know if it matters that the publisher also owned the development studio behind the games. But yeah, the problems at least started some time after the publisher went out of business, so it most likely have something to do with that. Perhaps the Simon IP was bought up by someone else that didn’t like 4 and 5?

4 is still available, though…
