I have a very serious problem: There are too many good new games coming out!

Help! Which ones do I play? Which can I cross off my list?
Observation
Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town
Pode
The Longing
Later Alligator
Mutazione
Creaks
In Other Waters
Boïnihi: The K’i Codex

I don’t know where you draw the line between new and older, but some of those games are about one year old, so not very recent anymore. Personally, I would start with the oldest game on the list, as that has had most time to be fixed and patched, if it ever was broken. Something that was released recently can have some big, nasty bugs in it.

I’d start with The Longing for the simple reason that it’s a real-time game. If you do nothing it will end in 400 days once you’ve started it. Of course there are ways to speed up time but it will take months to finish it. Waiting is part of the gameplay. You can play other games on your list while The Longing is doing its thing. I loved the experience. Not everybody’s cup of tea.

Both excellent suggestions! I never thought of the bugs thing before but it makes sense, and I have frequently run into bugs before in new releases.

The Longing was near top of my list anyway, so I’m going to give it a try.

The Longing is quite something. Let us know if you like your time with little Shade.
