The idea is similar to Advie’s topic for Sierra lists.

Best/fav Designer/Developer
Best/fav Adventure
Best/fav Hero
First ever played Adventure
Last Played or (re) Adventure
Most Replayed Adventure
Most Influential (for you) Adventure
Worst/Frustrating/Obscure Adventure
Overrated Adventure
Underrated Adventure

Name an Adventure came after 1999 that felt Like Lucas Arts

Best/fav Designer/Developer : Tim Schafer
Best/fav Adventure : Grim Fandango
Best/fav Hero : Manny Calavera
First ever played Adventure : Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis
Last Played or (re) Adventure : Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge
Most Replayed Adventure : Grim Fandango
Most Influential (for you) Adventure: I think that while it was GF the one that made me to trully love adventure games, Loom is the one that I recall to my mind every time I want to relax or to put a smile in my face.
Worst/Frustrating/Obscure Adventure : Full Throttle. While a great game, I still hate the fact that it actually promotes violence, breaking traffic laws and generally the “free rider” lifestyle without pointing out the most obvious fact. That motorbikes can kill you (especially if you drive like Ben)
Overrated Adventure : Sam & Max hit the road
Underrated Adventure : The Dig
Best laughs moment : Many moments to choose. However, the part with Murray and the shadow plays in the graveyard (TCoMI) holds a special place in my heart.
Name an Adventure came after 1999 that felt Like Lucas Arts: Deponia. The style and humour reminded me a bit of Lucas Adventure.

I knew this would come up sooner or later.. here we go

Best/fav Designer/Developer: Gilbert
Best/fav Adventure: Between Indy Atlantis or MI1, can’t decide
Best/fav Hero: Sam & Max
First ever played Adventure: MI1
Last Played or (re) Adventure: Grim
Most Replayed Adventure: MI1
Most Influential (for you) Adventure: Loom
Worst/Frustrating/Obscure Adventure: Maniac Mansion is pretty frustrating, and Zak McKracken is probably the worst one.
Overrated Adventure: Full Throttle. Not a bikie fan, and even if I were it just lacks the charm the other lucasarts games have.
Underrated Adventure: Loom
Best laughs moment: Probably something from DOTT
Name an Adventure came after 1999 that felt Like Lucas Arts: 70% of adventures after 1999 feel like Lucasarts, if not being shameless rip-offs.

Bonus Question - Best Music: The Dig

Best/fav Designer/Developer - tim schafer, ron gilbert, larry ahern
Best/fav Adventure - DoTT
Best/fav Hero - Manny Calavera
First ever played Adventure - DoTT
Last Played or (re) Adventure - Grim Fandango
Most Replayed Adventure - Curse Of Monkey Island
Most Influential (for you) Adventure - DoTT. That’s how it all began Smile
Worst/Frustrating/Obscure Adventure - MI4. 3D suited Grim Fandango well, but in the Escape I just couldn’t stand it.
Overrated Adventure - Hmmmm.. Sam n Max maybe
Underrated Adventure - Well, I see people here who underrate Full Throttle, so I’d give it a praise. I love every byte of atmosphere this game has (and I hate bikes).
Best laughs moment - I don’t know why Murray pops out in everybody’s mind Smile

This is more up my alley than the Sierra questions… Tongue

Best/fav Designer/Developer:
Tim Schafer, but with honorary mentions for Larry Ahern and Sean Clark.

Best/fav Adventure:
The Curse of Monkey Island - BEST… GAME… EVER!!!

Best/fav Hero:
Ben (Full Throttle) because he’s the most badass of them all!

First ever played Adventure:
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, and it’s still one of my favourite games of all time!

Last Played or (re) Adventure:
The Curse of Monkey Island - I (re)played all of LucasArts’ adventure games in the last year, and this was the last I played, and the second-last on the list. Now I’ve only got Escape From Monkey Island left to go. Grin

Most Replayed Adventure:
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, probably about 15 times or so. Although Full Throttle and The Dig are not that far behind…

Most Influential (for you) Adventure:
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis because it’s the game that drew me into the genre and thus the one that put adventure games on the forefront for me, and I still love this game for it.

Worst/Frustrating/Obscure Adventure:
Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders is probably their (relative) worst game (together with Maniac Mansion and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade), it’s probably the most frustrating (mainly because of the mazes in it - although Maniac Mansion with its deaths and a few dead ends definitely comes close), and it’s definitely the most obscure since the least people played it here, imo.

Overrated Adventure:
Sam & Max Hit the Road - I still don’t think it’s on par with its contemporaries. And I still don’t think it’s as funny as some people here will have you believe…

Underrated Adventure:
The Dig - this gem gets far too much criticism and I really don’t see why. It’s one of my favourite games of all time! Same thing with Escape From Monkey Island...

Best laughs moment:
The Secret of Monkey Island - breaking into the Governor’s mansion: both the drugging of the Deadly Piranha Poodles and the shenanigans in the mansion itself (“use spray on gopher” Tongue) had me in stitches. Probably the most memorable sequence in any of their games for me. Yes, even more memorable than Murray!

Name an Adventure came after 1999 that felt Like Lucas Arts:
Most of them? Well, Jack Keane probably comes closest, as I’ve always described it as a cross between Indiana Jones and Monkey Island (although weaker than both).

Wow, I didn’t even mention Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle… Gasp

I really doubt that. Can’t imagine Zak McKracken being more obscure than Labyrinth!  Tongue

Yeah, but who owns a system that can actually still play Labyrinth??? Grin

It’s been over 20 years since I last heard someone mention “Commodore 64”... Tongue

Ooh, ooh, ooh. Pick me next!

Best/fav Designer/Developer: Tim Schafer (easily)
Best/fav Adventure: a toss-up between Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle
Best/fav Hero: Max (he’s not exactly the protagonist but still…)
First ever played Adventure: MI2 (I think)
Last Played or (re) Adventure: Grim Fandango
Most Replayed Adventure: I don’t normally replay games
Most Influential (for you) Adventure: Loom (the enhanced talkie edition)
Worst/Frustrating/Obscure Adventure: Maniac Mansion (I’m sorry but Lucas Arts hadn’t hit their stride at that point just yet)
Overrated Adventure: see above
Underrated Adventure: Full Throttle (even though it could have been longer); also a lot of people (none here I hope!) dislike Grim Fandango
Best laughs moment: too many, insult sword-fighting still makes me smile
Name an Adventure came after 1999 that felt Like Lucas Arts: too many - Lucas Arts have been too influential not to be heavily emulated; still, here’s a freeware game that reminded me of DotT very recently: Murder in a Wheel

I see a lot of people point to Sam & Max as overrated. I wonder why that is. I love the characters but I would agree that it’s the weakest among its Lucas Arts contemporaries. One possible explanation that I’ve seen advanced is that Sam & Max satirizes Americana and thus might appeal more to Americans. However, much the same can be said about DotT (e.g. George Washington and the kumquat tree Grin ) and DotT is (almost) universally liked. (For all it’s worth, I love the Sam and Max animated series and while I found the first two Telltale S&M seasons somewhat average, the third one blew me away.)
