Looking for name of oldie
Hi, I played an what I recall being a series of adventure games ages ago and just have a few scant memories of it. Just trying to recall what it was.
All I remember is a bit being in a french town (maybe the character’s office/home?) and a scene in a big cave with a point over a cliff, where I was trapped by a demon and had a little time to make the right move.
Both scenes are highly reminescent of gabriel knight, and I thought that was what the game was. But having just replayed the first one (20th anniversary version) and googling the last two, I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the series at all. The 2nd GK was video and the 3rd, cheesy 3D. My games were more classical point and click adventure style.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?

it is difficult to imagine a highly reminiscent of Gabriel Knight with a Cave and a Demon, but was it from the pixel art era?
I just found it. It was a broken sword game. Dug through a list of the top 100 adventure games here, and it was number 5. Easy.
